REBIRTH

Well , it is absolutely evident and clear that what we initially thought of as the end of an era never really seized .With regards to pre-colonial system of manipulation and condemnation of the native Africa ,our present seems no different .What has changed is the mere fact that their presence has rather been substituted with unfit self-minded group of individuals  lately termed as leaders.

I  will not refute about the same that there was need for African countries to be liberated from the inhumane captivity of the western states to whom we were to submit ourselves and diligently expected to operate under unfair terms in exchange of nothing more than introduction of  so called Christianity and western education. Which I doubt was  meant to uncage our illiteracy as we ferried our own kin to work in their plantations with no assurance if in our sight we will ever see them again.

On 6th March 1957, Gold coast the present Ghana gained her independence from its colonial master the Britain .Under the leadership of Kwame Nkurumah  ,Ghana was able to safe guard its interests .Through the vicissitudes of time ,Nkurumah lamented that “Ghana is free and won’t be colonized again but our freedom means nothing if the rest of Africa is not free” .The agitation spirited revolutions which paved path to decolonization.

The divine plan through ages is that man has to be the master of his own destiny ,as our then leaders were eloquent about the matter , that African nations were able to take care of  their own affairs and it became crystal clear that we wanted to control our agriculture ,build our own infrastructure , improve our health and quality of life with continued efforts to eliminate poverty .This sense created uniformity and catalyzed by devoted unhesitating solid leaders likes of Mwalimu Kambarage ,Augstino Neto,Ahmed Bembellar and Patrice Emery Lumumba among others, Africa saw the light.

What our forefathers dreamt of has indeed become a dream .From recent cases of high mortality rates as a result of malnutrition in most countries , the absence of modernized health facilities ,continued civil wars in CAR ,DRC ,Mali ,South Sudan ,Togo ,Burkina Faso and Sudan bears witness that indeed Africa is at the verge of losing all .It all narrows down to the substandard ,detestable majority set of taskmasters we have in position.

Captives in our own homeland, who will be our refuge? Trapped in the dire taste of power, with less concern about the people, our co-heads have neglected their solemnly sworn duties to safeguard the nations interests; instead they have seized the chance to preside with their own. What awaits us with this continued unhygienic politics seems to be bound .Is it time to question or is this an opportunity to unfold the truth behind all hidden leadership motives ? Again who will be on the lead ,who will dare drive this imposed milestone to the rebirth of mother Africa?
